It permits noncommercial use, modification, and redistribution subject to its terms; commercial use requires permission from the copyright holder. The complete, authoritative license is the unmodified text in the repository-root LICENSE file. This page is a plain-language overview only and does not modify or replace that license.

Previous releases distributed under BSD-2-Clause remain subject to the license that accompanied those releases. This change does not withdraw permissions granted for them.
